Cheers for Highland Financial Solutions

I recently had the opportunity to read two articles written by Martha Ellis Kelley of Highlands Financial Solutions . These articles modestly appeared in editions of The Culpeper Star Exponent, Culpeper, VA and are not currently covered by other news agencies or even recoverable via a web search on www2.starexponent.com (shame on you, CSE!) These missives nicely tiptoe through the complex investment portfolio issues of volatility and diversity with the technical simplicity of good “did you know” articles. I have it on good authority that copies of the articles can be obtained directly from Kelley at hifinsol@crosslink.net.

I positively comment on these articles because they facilitate the consumer’s understanding of what internal and external factors impact an investment portfolio. This is critical in allowing a consumer to make good initial investment decisions and to psychologically weather market fluctuations. Wise consumers of financial services and participants in the risky worlds of debt and equity investing need to understand these issues.
Rumor has it that Ms. Kelley may take these educational tidbits “on the road” with her own newsletter. We can only hope that she does.
